This artwork has been realized for the Symposium organized in 1983 on Vassivière island. " An object placed in the room created by the low vault of those great trees will change the entire atmosphere of the space. Something like a theater set. The space would be transformed, from a very plain place to a place where one would be drawn to like by a magnet and invited to linger. I keep telling myself how rare it is to work with such trees ...

The idea of stone shadow changed into the creation of an outdoor work under three great  chestnut trees. In a distance, the shapes and scales of the trees were amplified by the presence of an object at their basis. The object is an invitation to enter the trees and discover what was inside.

A variety of stone objects both, new and old, created a physical change that prompted an even greater mood change. The space became a living-room with walls, furniture, a ceiling. To have placed the sculptural object in the back of this space created a theatrical effect allowing the front area to breathe freely. Thus the object isn't self-imposing and invite the visitor to linger here." (Brad John Goldberg)
